Here are the rates from 10 of the Major moving van lines. You'll find nuances between them and each agent will probably do a little better than the corporate rates quoted here. I specifically asked the agents I spoke with to quote me the standard maximum discount. If you have a big enough shipment, I'm sure you can get that rate down even further. My only caution is leave some money on the table or the quality of the move will suffer. I mean who wants to work for next to nothing? Be sensible, but aggressive and you'll get a good price for your move. By the way, these rates are for INTERSTATE MOVES ONLY, not local or intrastate. That is a can of worms I'll address very soon.
