You shouldn't automatically think that the lowest priced moving estimate is best. There can be additional moving costs hidden in the fine print of the bill of lading. Be sure to tell the moving company all of the things being packed and moved so that the moving estimates are based on the correct job scope.
If you plan on packing yourself, buy your moving boxes well in advance. Most online moving supply stores offer free or reduced shipping. Otherwise, be sure to ask each moving company to include a line item in their moving estimate for packing.
